Building Insurance Claim Assistance

If you find yourself in the unfortunate situation where your property has been damaged, either by fire, storm, water damage, or other forms of sudden damage, we are here to help.

As the policyholder, it is your responsibility to provide evidence that the damage to your property is a claimable event under your insurance policy. Situations where damage has occurred to your property can be difficult to manage.

This can involve the loss of personal and private belongings, handling practical tasks, and dealing with authorities and the insurance company.

Missing building parts can also be considered damage.

  • If you have a claim, we will assess the damage on a case-by-case basis.
  • Once we understand the damage and its cause, we can help review your insurance policies to determine if the damage may be covered by your insurance.
  • If the damage is covered by your insurance, we can assist you in ensuring that you receive fair and just compensation for your loss.

There is help available through your insurance if your damage is covered by your policy:

All policyholders have the right to seek independent assistance in connection with the damage assessment.

Your insurance also covers a certain amount for this assistance and for subsequent construction case management, in addition to the compensation you are entitled to for the damaged building.

The costs for an independent advisor are not covered by the insurance if no damage covered by your policy is found, or if the insurance company determines that the damage is not complex and does not require independent advisor assistance.

In all situations, you should initiate a dialogue with your insurance company regarding whether you can obtain the right to independent assistance and to what extent this will be granted.
