Projectdescription

The project material is at a conceptual design level, accompanied by a volume study featuring two building types: a 16-story high-rise and an 8-story block development, both connected by a two-story underground parking garage that forms the foundation for both structures.

High-Rise

The 16-story high-rise includes two partially underground basement levels. The ground level, which accommodates parking spaces, provides direct access to the staircase and elevator. This floor will also house technical rooms, storage rooms, and similar facilities. The building’s main entrance is located at the ground level with direct access from the parking area. A staircase with a warm airlock and two elevators ensure vertical access throughout the building. From the 1st to the 14th floor, there will be five apartments per floor. The 15th and 16th floors will feature four larger apartments each. All apartments will have access to large, open balconies, offering attractive views and excellent natural lighting.

Block Development

The project also includes a block development consisting of 101 youth apartments. The building is situated on a sloping plot, allowing the basement to be fully exposed on the southern side. Along this southern facade, facing Thor’s Square, there will be a two-story open glass facade housing common facilities. The parking garage will also be accessible from this side. On top of the base structure, six stories will rise, with the building stepping down to five stories towards Thor’s Square and rising up towards the high-rise to a total of seven stories. Above the parking garage, a large, south-facing communal rooftop terrace will be built, offering outdoor space for the residents of the block.
