Green loop – Aalborg Military base

Projectdescription

Green Loop is a pilot project that presents an innovative, modular, and sustainable solution for how the Danish Armed Forces’ office buildings can be constructed with flexible mobile structures that can be adapted according to the need for more or fewer office spaces. The pilot project includes a development plan for modular flexibility, which will be implemented in the office buildings across military barracks nationwide

The pilot project primarily consists of a comprehensive demonstration project, including:

  • Multi-administration building, meeting BR S2020 energy requirements
  • Workshop building, meeting BR S2020 energy requirements
  • Demolition of an equivalent number of square meters in the existing building stock + approximately 25% compared to new construction. The demolition of the existing building stock is not part of the main contract tender.
  • Special resource-saving measures:
    • Solar panel system
    • LAR (Local Rainwater Management) system
  • Outdoor areas, parking, and roadworks
